Ph.D Student

Andréanne Brunet-Bélanger holds a bachelor's degree in international law and international relations and a master's degree in political science from UQAM. She is currently a doctoral candidate in political science at the Université de Montréal. Her studies focus on the processes of transfer of international norms into domestic law and their effect on the users of these rights. She is interested in how international law can serve (or not) as a resource and space for the development of participation for indigenous communities in the Paraguayan Chaco. More generally, her interests lie in the overlap between the legal and political spheres, as well as in the feminist critique of law.
