Daniel Celso Pérez is currently a law student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He obtained a scholarship to develop a research paper at the University of Montreal on transparency and participatory budgeting based on the experiences between the City of Montreal and the City of Mexico. He is also interested in tax law, transparency and governance. Between the Bank of Mexico and his University, he has learned the importance of participation and communication in collective decision-making that has an impact on the daily economy and social life. He wishes to continue his research on the improvement of fiscal transparency of public resources through citizen participation, from a human rights perspective.
